## PLAN OR DESCRIPTION.

This Report and Estimate is in support of the annual repairs required to the Government Buildings in the Colony.

The Buildings consist of the Government House, Government offices, Royal Mint, Supreme Court, Magistrates Court, Foot-office, Clock Tower, Victoria Street Police Officers' Quarters, Central Police Station, Nine Branch Police Stations in Victoria, one in Kowloon, and Five in Villages, Civic Hospital, Fever Hospital, Lock Hospital, Central School, Tsingpoo and Taipoo Schools, and Five Schools in Villages, Eight Markets, Eastern Slaughter house, Signal Station at Green Island, Clerk of Works' residences, Head Quarters for Volunteers, and Borrower's Cottage at Pokfulam Reservoir. In addition to these, are the Buildings completed during the past year, viz Stone Cutter's Island, Guard House, Foreman's Residence, Officers' Quarters and Barracks at the Royal Mint, Harbour Master's Office and a New Eastern Slaughter house. Certain repairs, particularly to the Flooring required in Government House, and the completion of the repairs to the roof of the Government Offices, were unavoidably delayed.
